Story
This year I have done a lot of running, including the gruelling 30km Coastal Classic and my first ever Sydney Marathon, but I have saved the best until last - 'THE STAMPEDE!'. One of the most important parts of distance running is finishing well and similarly in life I also want to finish well by leaving a powerful legacy through making a significant difference in the lives of others. One of the ways I will be doing this is by supporing Homes of Hope International (HOHI) and partnering with them for a cause I'm passionate about - the erradication of Human slavery, including Human Trafficking.
I'll be using Stampede to raise vital funds specifically for HOHI's Pune Safe House in India. This Safe House seeks to provide shelter and re-education for victims (especially women) of Human Trafficking. It's crucial towards changing the lives of these victims and giving them and their children a future and hope.

Homes of Hope International (Global Development Group - J821N)
Empowering Initiatives For Women is a Global Development Group (GDG) approved aid and development project (J821N) which empowers women who have been the victims of sex slavery. This project creates a safe and caring environment in which traumatized women can recover, provides individual counselling and group therapy, education (including literacy training) aimed at helping participants receive High School diplomas (10th grade as a minimum), and provides each girl with vocational training and assistance in finding employment. Each woman is then assisted in a successful re-entry process to normal society.
Gifts over $2 with a preference for this approved development project are tax deductible, receipts issued by Go Fundraise on behalf of GDG. Excess funds may be directed to another approved activity.
